Movementous; Passers

Wednesday, March 20th, 2013

Sure, it didn’t matter if I waited. So, I waited. All at once, everything happened. A car went by, then another, then another. It was as if folks lived around there. I was surprised. I gave a shriek! One of the cars stopped. The back door opened. “Care for a lift?” “Sure, why not.”

Building; Roppongi

In and around Roppongi, looking up. The buildings in Roppongi are fun to look at. The effort it took to build them. The imagination. No need to wonder; their existence informs.

Perhaps; Transient

We’re on the move. Moment to moment, step by step, we reach out. Seeking spirits with unresolved intentions. Fun while it lasts.

Perhaps; Scope

Wednesday, March 20th, 2013

There’s a lot to protect. We have something we cherish, and we don’t want to see it go. We imagine life without it. We despair. Protecting that which cannot remain is futile, yet it exists; as such, context.

Relaxations; Drawing

Thursday, March 7th, 2013

From the first moment I woke up, I knew it’d be a relaxing day. No, I cannot prove it, so why ask? Satoko and I went to Uni Qlo to get jackets for our hiking trip tomorrow. We found the all-the-rage lightweight down jackets. I know why we have ragings for these jackets – because they’re rocking. Satoko went to Kawasaki to continue her shopping spree, while I went home to work on some art, eat some duck, and nap. The nap turned into sleep, and the sleep turned into a time to wake up, have dinner, watch Inglourious Basterds, then Rounders (still don’t understand poker), then a return to sleepy.

The year is 2013. Here is a season’s greeting card, from my hand to yours, virtually. This is the Year of the Snake, so here’s a mechanical-esque version. It’s been awhile since I did any graphic design.

Looking back, we have lessons experienced. This idea isn’t original, and. So, then. We’re floating in. In unoriginality and uniqueness.

New Day; Facing

Monday, January 7th, 2013

Satoko and I woke up to a beautiful morning, New Year’s Day. After coffee and a bit of lollygagging, we got ready to head to the kaikan. I took a short video as we rode our bikes. After arriving, then chanting a bit, we headed back home for lunch. What beautiful weather. The area around our neighborhood looks so clean and bright every January 1st (most of the year, actually), though I don’t really get around much as I mostly head in the one direction – to work and back. After lunch we headed to Kawasaki for our annual dinner with her mother, brother, and their family. Good food and conversation. Once back home we stayed awake long enough to catch a few episodes of Parks & Recreation. It was a nice, relaxing day. Thank you.
